Manchester City have reportedly invited Spanish coach Albert Celades to join the club.

As reported by Catalan outlet Sport on Monday, the 42-year-old is currently evaluating the options he has to continue his career abroad.

Since leaving the Spanish national team’s youth levels this summer, the coach has received offers from several sides, including Manchester City and the South Korean National Team.

Sport points out that Celades has already worked with Pep Guardiola for a few months at Bayern Munich. In Germany, his job was to watch the academy teams and report back on which players would be ready to join the first team squad.

The outlet, however, doesn’t seem to know what his role at Manchester City would be.

Although a job at the Premier League champions may sound more attractive than at the South Korean national team, maybe it’s all about the roles he would have in each place. He’s certainly not being a manager at Manchester City, but that could be offered somewhere else.
