Daniel Sturridge is ready to join Inter, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, but there remains one problem, and that’s Eder.

The Italy international looked set to join Crystal Palace on loan until the end of the season, but the Serie A side decided to turn down the Eagles’ offer of €2m up front with a potential future €8m for the 31-year-old.

This means no slot has been made available for the Liverpool striker, and everyone is now having to wait.

Gazzetta explain Sturridge’s arrival is linked to Eder’s potential exit, and if the former Sampdoria star does find himself a new club, then everything should happen very quickly, as Inter and Liverpool are said to have reached a ‘practically total agreement’ regarding the England international’s loan.

While Eder has no World Cup to play for, the Reds’ forward certainly does, and his 514 minutes of football this season certainly won’t have been enough to make a good enough case as he hopes to convince Gareth Southgate to take him to Russia.

Despite this limited time on the pitch, the 28-year-old has still managed to score three goals and pick up three assists in 14 appearances.

It’s worth noting that on Wednesday evening claims came from Italy that Eder is eyeing a move to Zenit, rather than Crystal Palace, but neither club have so far been able to please Inter.
