It’s now time for Liverpool to get involved in the race for São Paulo defender Lucas Beraldo.

As Italian outlet TuttoJuve today has a story on the battle for this signing, they add a few new names to the competition for the 20-year-old.

Liverpool are one of them, along with the likes of Arsenal and Juventus, as Beraldo ‘attracted the interest’ from those clubs.

The news comes in an interesting time, because the Brazilian media has been speaking about the defender’s future a lot.

Following a €18m offer from Zenit, it’s been claimed that São Paulo want to make at least €20m with the sale, and Leicester City are those who are expected to match that.

The problem is that recent reports from Brazil claimed that Beraldo’s staff are not very excited with his potential move to a Championship club.

Perhaps that’s where Liverpool could jump in and get a deal done, as in case Reds and Foxes put the same amount on the table, it would be no surprise to see him choosing a move to Anfield.
