Paris Saint-Germain have identified Newcastle United star Bruno Guimarães and Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich as targets for the summer window, according to Le10 Sport.
The Ligue 1 winners are keen on adding a ‘world-class’ midfielder to their squad and have set their sights on these two players.
Guimarães has a €100m+ release clause in his deal at Newcastle that lasts until 2028, while the 29-year-old German could be a cheaper option for PSG.
Kimmich has just over a year left on his deal and that makes him attractive option for several clubs across Europe, including PSG, Barcelona and Manchester City. The Bundesliga side, for their part, are keen on extending his contract.
Earlier this week, Sport reported Kimmich feels his cycle at Bayern is about to come to an end and is looking for a new adventure. It was also stated he’s more attracted to joining the La Liga side amid interest from PSG and the Citizens.
Le10 relay Sport’s claim about Kimmich and the result is this could see Luis Enrique’s side shift their focus on the Newcastle player.
PSG have been tracking the 26-year-old Brazil international and the situation around the German would see their interest in Guimarães grow. This could certainly be a concern for Eddie Howe’s side in their efforts to retain the South American.
