Back in July, we covered an interview by Onze Mondial with Enzo Robise, who had dropped everything in France to go to Southampton’s academy.

The 17-year-old left Reims to try an adventure across the Channel, and, so far, it’s going rather well.

Struggling at first, the young forward eventually settled down, had set himself the goal of featuring at least once for the first-team this season, and with two goals in six games for the club’s U18s, Robise is doing his best to show Mark Hughes it might be worth giving him a go at some point during the campaign.

In fact, he’s performed well enough to earn some interest from big clubs in Ligue 1, as Goal in France claim both Lille and Marseille have already made approaches to bring him back to his home country.

However, the website explain Southampton have no desire to part ways with the winger, whom they feel is one of the ‘more promising talents’ in their academy over the past few years, and they hope to ‘bring him to the highest level in the near future’.

To us, that sounds like Mark Hughes already has an eye on him.
