Bayern Munich bosses met for 45 minutes on Tuesday to discuss their strategy to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur.

That’s according to SportBILD, who say Uli Hoeneß, Thomas Helmer and even manager Thomas Tuchel met at Säbener Straße to discuss Kane and other targets.

Bayern have made Kane their number one target for this summer as they finally look to fill the hole left behind by Robert Lewandowski’s move to Barcelona last summer.

Tottenham have so far proved resistant to all efforts, with Daniel Levy unwilling to let his club icon leave despite Bayern being willing to pay a huge fee for him in the final year of his deal.

The German champions remain determined to get him, though, and SportBILD report that those in charge, the newly formed Sports Committee that includes manager Thomas Tuchel, met for 45 minutes on Tuesday to discuss their plans and how they should continue.

Journalist Florian Plettenburg also has his say on the matter, stating Bayern are ‘still optimistic’ they can get Kane, either this summer or next.

According to his information ‘more talks and negotiations’ with Tottenham are expected from the Bayern bosses as they remain keen on the transfer.

Tottenham and Bayern are ‘still in contact’ trying to work out a deal that suits both parties but for now it’s a matter of waiting, with Kane set to speak with Spurs this week.
