Chelsea’s ongoing issues off the pitch have had no impact on their performances in recent weeks. The Blues were sanctioned by the British government and as it stands, they cannot bring in new faces to the club or offer renewals to their current players.

Potential owners have already placed bids to buy the west London club, with that process happening on Friday.

Prior to this, the FIFA Club World Cup winners were linked with a few players and one of them is Raphinha. The winger’s agent is reportedly handling an offer from Thomas Tuchel’s side.

Sport on Thursday states that Barcelona have made a first proposal of €35m to sign the Brazil international.

They have another report stating the La Liga side are ‘ahead of Liverpool and Bayern Munich’ in the race for the 25-year-old. The same report also mentions Chelsea’s interest in the former Rennes man.

According to the claims, the European champions had the player on their agenda, but their ‘very serious institutional problems’ has forced them to step aside from making a potential bid for the time being.

Chelsea need to bring in a new owner soon and then make quick efforts in order to get ahead of other suitors to sign the Brazilian in the summer.
