According to a claim in the Swedish media, Bundesliga clubs are following Djurgarden defender Felix Beijmo.

The youngster was linked with move to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the last window.

Fotboll Direkt have reported on the progress Beijmo has made since making his senior debut for Djurgarden last year.

In his first season he was named the second best newcomer in the Swedish league, which brought him to the attention of Wolves and now clubs from Germany.

Fotboll Direkt again report the interest from the English club.

Quizzed about a move to the Bundesliga Beijmo said: “I think that league would fit me well. It is a league with high speed, many runs, the atmosphere at the stadiums. That would be fine.”

During the last window we covered reports from Sweden that Wolves held ‘intensive’ talks to sign Beijmo, but a deal never materialised.

It seemed the Championship side had other priorities to strengthen their squad, and subsequently pulled out.

There have been no further reports whether Wolves will go back in for the young Swede this summer, but the player recently confirmed interest from English clubs.

The 19 year old joined Djurgarden in March, and is contracted to the Swedish club until 2020.
