Sometimes it seems the European media make claims they really don’t know the size of. Some of the rivalries in the Premier League may not be as well known beyond our shores, and that obviously has an impact.

So, when El Confidencial made one of their latest claims they probably didn’t know quite the impact such a move could have. The Spanish media outlet, who it must be said aren’t one of the craziest rumour pushers in the country, believe Mauricio Pochettino could be moving to Chelsea.

Yep.

It’s all from a Real Madrid perspective and pushed on by Pochettino’s quotes after the FA Cup semi-final in which he suggested he may not be the man who takes Tottenham forward.

The Spurs coach is apparently growing tired of waiting for a concrete Real Madrid approach and would be considering a move to Chelsea.

That sounds unthinkable. Tottenham and Chelsea have a healthy hatred, and Pochettino surely wouldn’t do that to fans who has worshipped him. Then there’s the simple fact Tottenham would surely laugh off any attempt from Chelsea.

Nevertheless, it’s claimed Roman Abramovich has chosen Poch as he chief target to take over from Antonio Conte, and informed his closest circle to get the manager ‘without delay’.

This one would rock the Premier League, but it obviously seems very unlikely.
