Back in March, Arsenal were the main club linked to Eintracht Frankfurt defender Evan N’Dicka.
Reports from Germany first said the Gunners were interested in the youngster, who’d been impressing in Bundesliga, and a summer move was a possibility. Then other stories wondered if his future would lie at his club or at the Emirates Stadium following the good season he was having.
It turns out that the 22-year-old ended up staying at his club, and with a great start in the new season, his potential departure is once again a subject in the local media.
Bild features a story claiming that N’Dicka has turned out to be Eintracht Frankfurt’s biggest asset for upcoming transfer markets, as his current form will only reflect on his price later.
‘If it were listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, his curve would go up steeply at the moment,’ the outlet writes.
Bild takes multiple stats to prove the defender’s improvement.
They claim that Frankfurt didn’t get offers of above €20m in the last transfer window, partly because of the pandemic crisis, but those figures should now arrive at the club in the future.
N’Dicka is currently valued by Transfermarkt at €28m.
So as by the start of the year, Arsenal had already been told they’d need to ‘dig deep in their pockets’ to sign the defender, it seems they’d need to spend even more in 2022.
