Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is thought to be closing in on a move to Napoli, but AreaNapoli state their local club isn’t the only side in the picture for the player.

The 21-year-old currently plays his football for FC Dinamo Batumi and is set to leave the Georgian club in the coming weeks.

AreaNapoli report Arsenal are among the sides interested in the young attacker, and it would appear they’ve made more effort recently than Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur, who have also been linked with the player.

According to the report, Mikel Arteta’s side have been ‘collecting information’ about the signing, which likely involves asking about the fees involved in a potential summer move.

Arsenal have been making those efforts ‘in recent weeks’, although as it stands a switch to Napoli still looks likelier.

The Serie A club see Kvaratskhelia as a long term replacement for Lorenzo Insigne, who is set to leave Napoli as a free agent in the summer, and join Toronto FC.
