Tottenham are continually linked with fullbacks, despite having Kyle Walker and Danny Rose at the club. Mauricio Pochettino has no concern in that area of the pitch, unless one of the England internationals is on the way out.
One of the players routinely linked is Sead Kolasinac, the Schalke defender who sees his contract expire in June. Kolasinac isn’t just a left back and has shown for Schalke that he can also operate further forward.
Schalke have offered Kolasinac €4.5m per year to renew, but they also have the added benefit of offering the player an emotional pull. At Schalke since 2011, Kolasinac came through the second team and is now one of the club’s most important players.
Tottenham have made an offer of over €6m per year, according to SportBild, but they face competition from several Premier League teams, as well as Juventus and Atletico Madrid.
Someone could be getting a Kolasinac shaped bargain this summer.
Gala will now accept €15m for Bruma, which is handily what it was claimed Tottenham had offered. #THFC #COYI https://t.co/so4BbKUDCM
