A few days ago, a story started doing the rounds that Arsenal were interested in Eintracht Frankfurt’s Evan N’Dicka.
The young centre-back has been having a good season with the Bundesliga side, and his ability (and versatility) was said to have caught the eye of a number of clubs around Europe.
Despite already having William Saliba arriving from Saint-Etienne in the summer, Arsenal were one of those, and it appears they could have a bit of an advantage over the others because of a past deal.
As has been explained by AreaNapoli in Italy, the 20-year-old shares some of the same entourage as Nicolas Pépé, who moved to the Emirates last year for €80m.
The man in question is Aboubakar Traoré, and the Italian website explain an exchange of information has taken place between the representative and someone close to Naples.
However, AreaNapoli make it clear in their headline that N’Dicka ‘dreams of the Premier League’ and those around him are ‘working on a sale’.
The youngster, who can also play at left-back, is said to prefer a move to England or to remain in Germany rather than move to Serie A.
Then again, clubs first have to convince Eintracht Frankfurt to sell, and with his stock quite high these days and a contract until 2023, the Bundesliga club have all the cards to ask for a very good price.
