Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has told the Swedish media he is aiming to get a permanent move to the Championship side. The Swede is currently on loan with Leeds United, but if he plays 20 games, the club will to pay Torino £3.6m for the 24-year-old.
The Sweden international confirmed all he wants now is play those 20 games in order to sign for Leeds United. The central defender believes with the number of games coming up he will be able to achieve this, and then hopefully get a permanent move in the New Year.
“It’s the only thing I want! There are so many matches we play in the league and the cups I can get there by the New Year,” said Jansson.
Since Jansson made his league debut against Huddersfield Town earlier in the month the player has become a fixture in Garry Monk’s starting eleven. With Leeds United still in the EFL Cup and 37 Championship games left, Jansson will be expected to reach 20 games pretty quickly.
