Friday saw claims from Italy that Arsenal and Fiorentina have reached some sort of agreement over the transfer of Dusan Vlahovic.

It was later claimed the offer from the Gunners stands at €80m, although there wasn’t optimism for Arsenal, given the player and his agent much prefer a move to Juventus.

Fiorentina don’t have the best relationship with the Turin club and would obviously rather sell to a team outside Serie A. That’s why there could be some suspicion around the claimed Arsenal offer, and that instead of being a bid that exists, it could be a tactic to pressure Juve and others.

Newcastle United have now inevitably been dragged into that picture, with Tottenham Hotspur already in place. Tuttosport report Juventus are making move for a January deal, and would like to pay €50-55m, whilst perhaps adding some loans to that.

However, their problem is Premier League competition, with Newcastle, Tottenham and Arsenal all said to be in an ‘auction’ which could reach ’70, 80, 90 million’.

That’s the kind of scenario Fiorentina want, so don’t be surprised to see more claims come from Italy of big offers from the likes of Newcastle and others.
