History

Founded in 1877 as St. Luke’s FC, Wolverhampton Wanderers became a founding Football League member in 1888. A historic club, they dominated the 1950s, winning three top-flight titles. Wolves famously sparked the creation of the European Cup via floodlit friendlies and are the only club to win titles in all five top English league divisions.
