History

Formed in 1878 by workers from George Salter’s Spring Works, West Bromwich Albion is a founding member of the Football League (1888). Known as “The Baggies,” they have won five FA Cups and the 1920 league title. Their history includes a 1931 league/cup double and a 1966 League Cup, with The Hawthorns as their home since 1900.
