Hull City forward Abel Hernandez will today make a decision on his future, according to claims in the Italian media. The Uruguay international has been linked with a move to West Bromwich Albion, but in recent days there’s been interest from China.
TMW have reported there should be developments in the coming hours as to whether Hernandez will head to China, with West Brom monitoring the situation. Saido Berahino joined Stoke City last week so West Brom manager Tony Pulis may want to bring in a replacement forward in this window, and the Hull City star seems to be their number one target.
West Brom have had an impressive season, and will want to continue this in the second half of the campaign by adding to their squad.
However, Changchun Yatai have offered £12m to Hull City for Hernandez, and the South American is currently giving consideration to the offer. A deal with the Chinese club is likely to be complicated, but they seem keen to land the player.
Hernandez joined Hull City for €10m in 2014 in a club record deal. The forward has played 12 Premier League games this season, scoring 3 goals.
