Nottingham Forest star Nikola Milenkovic has insisted they will do everything they can to ensure they qualify for the Champions League.

Gianluca di Marzio have comments from the Nottingham Forest defender today as they continue to fight for a place in the top five.

Nottingham Forest have sat in the Champions League qualification places for much of this season after a superb campaign under Nuno Espirito Santo so far.

They have, though, fallen off in recent weeks, with defeats to the likes of Aston Villa, Everton, Brentford and a draw with Crystal Palace significantly hurting their Champions League hopes.

They now sit sixth in the table and two points behind Chelsea and Newcastle in fourth and fifth. Manchester City are third, three points ahead on 64 points. Aston Villa are also only a point behind in 7th place.

It would be majorly disappointing for Nottingham Forest to miss out at this point after an almost flawless campaign to date given, they were battling relegation last season.

Now Milenkovic, who has played a huge part in the success to date, has issued a rallying cry to ensure his side get over the finish line.

“In my opinion, every team during the season has both ups and downs,” he said.

“We have had the bass at a crucial moment, but I think with Crystal Palace on the last day we had a good game. We knew that playing in their house was very difficult.”

“Three games remain, and our focus is on the next one with Leicester. We absolutely must not underestimate anyone, the concentration when we enter the field will have to be the same that we put into practice against the Crystal Palace. We will prepare ourselves to the best.

“When the season started, no one expected we would be in this position. Now we have the privilege of playing something great. We will do everything on the field to succeed in this great feat. The Champions League would be a great thing.”
