Despite being used in the first game of the season against Brentford, Davinson Sánchez isn’t expected to be at Tottenham come the end of the transfer window.
That’s been made clear for some time, as he has been heavily linked with an exit from Spurs, as Strasbourg in France are believed to be interested in him.
Sébastien Denis, for Foot Mercato, brings the latest on the Tottenham defender, claiming that the Colombian centre-back has been ‘offered to numerous French clubs’ since the January transfer window.
Strasbourg are mentioned here, but so are Lyon, AS Monaco and OGC Nice, and he recalls that talks with Galatasaray and Spartak Moscow failed to take off.
The player himself has to ‘find an exit door’ from Tottenham before the end of the transfer window, showing just how badly the London side want rid.
This is also why Postecoglou and Daniel Levy are looking for further additions at the back, and why they have been linked with so many central defenders over the summer.
Since joining Tottenham in 2017 from Ajax Amsterdam, Sánchez has made 206 appearances for the club, scored five goals and assisted another in all competitions.
