Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a host of attackers and their interest in another player has now emerged. The situation could be closely linked to Chelsea’s Marc Guiu.

Roberto De Zerbi’s side suffered a 3-0 defeat to Brentford on Saturday. Even if the Italian couldn’t play the side he would’ve ideally wanted, it was clear they need more signings.

Spurs’ attack will be improved by the arrivals of Savinho and Omar Marmoush. Sport Witness have covered how Cody Gakpo also remains a target.

A deal for the Dutchman is yet to be finalised and now, another possible attacking target has emerged.

Tuesday’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport has a report detailing Napoli’s approach to incomings this summer. A move for Gabriel Jesus is looking complicated due to many reasons, leading to the Italian side considering alternative targets.

One name on sporting director Giovanni Manna’s shortlist is that of Marseille’s Amine Gouiri.

Even on this front, things are unlikely to be easy. This is because of Tottenham as the Frenchman is ‘highly regarded’ by De Zerbi’s side. Spurs appear as a threat to the Partenopei, who also like Chelsea’s Guiu.

The Spaniard is seen as a target who won’t disturb the current squad setup. The Blues value him at €15m and Napoli are considering whether to make a formal move or not.

Gouiri remains a possible target, however, Tottenham are presented as a threat.

Our take: Gouiri could be a future signing

If Spurs do end up with Gakpo after Savinho and Marmoush, they won’t need another attacker. But Gouiri is someone who could be a possible signing at some point in the future.

He has become a reliable goalscorer in Ligue 1 over the last six years and is still only 26. The Algerian already has two goals in one league game this season.
