Crystal Palace‘s Ismaïla Sarr is attempting to force his way out of the Premier League side to secure a move to Galatasaray this summer.
Last weekend, the Premier League side suffered a 2-0 loss to Everton, and the forward wasn’t part of the squad.
A day before the clash, we relayed news of Sarr refusing to train [for two days] with the Eagles. He’s keen on a move to the Istanbul club and wants Crystal Palace to cooperate.
Journalist Ali Naci Küçük, who covered this, reported that the 28-year-old didn’t train again on Monday.
The Senegal international wants to join the Süper Lig winners, who have already offered €40m to Crystal Palace.
€10m gap with Crystal Palace
Journalist Kaya Temel covers Galatasaray’s ongoing attempts to improve their squad and Haber Sarı Kırmızı have relayed his comments.
The 28-year-old’s contract at Selhurst Park is until 2029, and Transfermarkt now value the attacker at €45m.
Crystal Palace value the Senegal international at €55-60m, and Temel reports there’s a €10m gap with Galatasaray.
“There is a €10m difference between Galatasaray and Crystal Palace regarding the Ismaïla Sarr transfer,” he said.
Payment terms key for Crystal Palace agreement
With Ismaïla Sarr pushing hard to secure a move, the Turkish club are also working on signing him.
Kaya Temel doesn’t specify whether Galatasaray plan to raise their offer or meet Crystal Palace’s request. However, they are clear that their plan is to spread the payment across multiple instalments.
“Crystal Palace expects a transfer fee of €55-60m for Ismaïla Sarr. Galatasaray want to divide the transfer fee into instalments. This is the first priority. Galatasaray is considering an average of four-five instalments for the player,” Temel explained.
With the Senegalese attacker reportedly refusing to train, it remains to be seen whether Pierre Sage’s side will lower the fee or stick to their initial €55-60m price.
Last season, Sarr managed 21 goals and two assists from 45 matches and won the UEFA Conference League with the Eagles.
