Rangers have convinced Girona youngster Kim Minsu to move to Ibrox, with their offer the most convincing on the table.
Tuesday’s print edition of Diari di Girona explains the 20-year-old has been convinced by the offer from Rangers and will be leaving the Spanish club.
The newspaper states that Minsu is ‘one of the greatest talents of the academy’ but will be leaving Girona before making a name for himself in the first team.
Girona have now agreed a deal with Rangers for the winger. He will head to Ibrox in a €10m transfer. The player has already packed his bags and will be heading to Scotland. The newspaper reports that Rangers’ proposal ‘convinced him more’ than the one from the Spanish club.
Quick Girona exit
He only officially joined Girona earlier this summer. he had initially been a part of their B side, playing with them for three years before then heading to FC Andorra last summer.
That loan proved to be a productive one, as he managed six goals and four assists in 40 games. But it seems Girona have put up little fight to keep him as Rangers have advanced their interest.
Derek McInnes side will now pay €10m to bring the Korean winger to Ibrox. A deal appears to be in the final stages.
Rangers advance
Sport Witness first covered their interest five days ago. A report at that point explained that they had entered the picture for the youngster ‘with a lot of strength’. It was explained at that point that €10m would get a deal done.
The deal then progressed yesterday. A new report explained that Minsu’s move to Rangers was due to be announced any day. They had beaten the competition to the 20-year-old’s signing and he’s moving to Scotland.
Now Diari di Girona report the same, with little fuss over the Spanish club losing ‘one of the greatest talents’ from their academy.
