Stoke City and Swansea City are among the clubs in the mix to sign Red Bull Salzburg’s Mamady Diambou, according to Africa Foot.

The Mali international arrived in Europe when the Austrian club signed him from Guidars FC in 2021. He had two loans spells at FC Liefering and Luzern between 2021 and 2023.

Since returning to his parent club, the midfielder has made a handful of appearances. He played 13 matches in all competitions this season.

Despite the limited role, the 23-year-old has managed to draw the attention of Stoke City, Swansea City and other clubs. His contract is until 2028 and is said to be looking for a new challenge in another league.

Africa Foot report Swansea City and Slavia Prague have both expressed interest in the player. The Potters have also shown strong interest in him.

In addition to these three clubs, unnamed clubs from Turkey and Spain are also in the picture. The report mainly focuses on Stoke City as they are making advances to try and sign Diambou.

It’s claimed Stoke City are ‘very active’ in the pursuit of Diambou and have ‘begun taking necessary steps’ to reach an agreement with Red Bull Salzburg.

It isn’t made clear whether Stoke City and Swansea City are looking at him for January or next summer.

Two months ago, the same outlet covered West Ham interest. There’s no mention of the Hammers in the latest report.
