Queens Park Rangers released Lucas Andersen when his contract with them expired in June.
The attacking midfielder joined QPR from Danish side AaB Fodbold in the winter 2024 market. He managed three goals and four assists from 51 matches for the Championship side. The 31-year-old lost prominence at the London club in January and February and was then reduced to a limited role.
Andersen has been without a club since leaving QPR. Denmark’s Bold state he had several opportunities to change that. It’s claimed the player has received offers from Saudi Arabia and Cyprus.
The details of the Saudi clubs that tabled proposals haven’t been revealed. According to Bold, Olympiakos Nicosia is the Cypriot club.
However, Andersen rejected these offers, without the report providing any explanation.
Two months ago, Andersen told Nordjyske that he wouldn’t return to AaB, because he felt poorly treated when he left them for QPR.
Bold relay his comments and then claim the attacking midfielder is still ‘waiting to land’ at a new club. They add everything indicates it’s likely to be outside of Denmark.
