Earlier this week, we covered a story from SFR Sport journalist Loic Tanzi claiming that AS Monaco in France were trying to sign Jonathan Panzo from Chelsea.
The French journalist stated the two sides had found an agreement for the transfer of the 17-year-old, with Michael Emenalo, once the Blues’ technical director and now the Ligue 1 side’s director of football, the driving force behind the deal.
Fast forward to Friday, and Foot Mercato are reporting a second Chelsea youngster could be on his way to the south of France: Callum Hudson-Odoi.
The 17-year-old attacking midfielder recently refused to extend his contract with the Premier League side, despite having already managed to pick up four appearances for the first-team.
Monaco are said to have made contact with the player, seemingly intent on continuing their recruitment drive, solely focusing on young talent they can develop and then sell on for a huge profit down the line.
That’s as far as the report goes for now, with no mention of whether or not a move to Ligue 1 is something the Chelsea starlet would be interested in.
We’ll be keeping an eye out for any updates.
