Leeds United defender Maximilian Wöber is waiting for the ‘right challenge’ this summer, with an exit from Elland Road almost certain.

Younion.at report on the 28-year-old today as he’s currently taking part in the Younion Pro Camp ahead of a crucial summer for him.

Leeds United exit likely

The training programme is set up at the ÖFB Campus in Seestadt, providing players with the ideal conditions for staying fit through team training and preparing themselves with a targeted approach. It also allows players to wait for potential opportunities without any time pressure.

The Leeds Uniteddefender is the most prominent example of Austrian players making use of it. He is currently using the camp to stay fit after his loan at Werder Bremen came to an end.

He has several options on the table at this moment in time but is instead remaining patient. He’s using the camp to train in a professional environment and be ready as soon as the next challenge comes forwards.

“For me, the conditions here are ideal,” he said.

“The team training makes all the difference. I can train at a high level every day and know that I’ll be physically ready when the right challenge comes along. That’s exactly what the Proficamp gives me.”

Unwanted at Elland Road

Leeds United

Maximilian Wöber has already hinted he sees his future away from Leeds United this summer.

Sport Witness covered a report from him recently including comments in which he admitted he knows he is no longer really wanted by Daniel Farke and co.

That seems unlikely to change, even following Pascal Struijk’s move to Brighton. The question is whether he can find a club willing to take a risk on him.

His injury record over the last few years, including last season at Bremen, will certainly put suitors off. Perhaps that is why he is now using Younion’s set up to his advantage.
