Watford striker Jorge Cabezas Hurtado’s future is set to be away from Vicarage Road.
That’s according to Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra, and he took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to provide a short update on the 20-year-old’s future.
He claims the Watford man is ‘very close’ to becoming a new player of Greek side PAOK this summer.
Sierra adds PAOK will sign the Colombia U20 international on a loan deal with an option to buy but makes no mention of the fee needed to make his stay permanent.
The Hornets signed the frontman from Colombian side Real Cartagena in January 2023, and they immediately sent him out on loan to Independiente Medellín.
The Championship side let Jorge Cabezas Hurtado join MLS side New York Red Bulls on loan last summer. On his return to the club, he made an appearance for Watford in the FA Cup at the start of this year, and that was his only outing for the Hornets.
He spent the second half of last season on loan to League Two side Gillingham and is now set to join PAOK on loan until June 2025.
