Málaga CF have all but secured Everton defender Adam Aznou, who has given his preference to a move to the Spanish club.

Sport Witness covered a report on Friday stating that Aznou was close to completing a move from Everton to Málaga CF. He’s set to join them on loan until the end of the season.
Deal negotiated for two weeks
Marca now confirm that is the case. They report that Málaga have been working on a deal for the Everton left-back for about two weeks. Barring a last-minute change, Aznou will move to Málaga in the final days of the transfer window.
The Spanish side have been seeking a new left-back after Dani Sánchez departed the club. They made it a priority to add in the position and locked in on Aznou.
He’s been made available by Everton after barely featuring under David Moyes last season. He arrived in a summer deal from Bayern Munich but failed to convince the Everton boss, who left him on the bench for most of last season.
First-team football wanted
He had featured in pre-season but has missed both of Everton’s game so far – wins over Crystal Palace and Preston North End. That had led to suggestions he would be loaned out this summer.
Marca report that the defender was seeking a move that would allow him to regain playing and consistency. He had offers from Germany, but his priority was to return to Spain. Málaga ultimately won him over with the project that they offered.
The move will allow him to return to La Liga, where he previously played – and impressed – while on loan with Real Valladolid. Now he’s hoping for a similar impact at Málaga.
