Everton, Brighton & Hove Albion and Hull City are chasing Fiorentina’s Eddy Kouadio and are looking to bring him to the Premier League.

The centre-back’s growth and profile have caught the attention of Everton, Brighton and Hull.

He graduated from the Serie A side’s academy and made his first team debut in August 2025. The defender didn’t enjoy regular minutes as he played 207 minutes from eight appearances, and five were in the UEFA Conference League.

That didn’t stop La Viola from offering him a new contract [until 2030] in February. The limited role convinced him and Fiorentina that it would be best for him to go out on loan.

In the summer, the Italian club let the 20-year-old join Monza, who returned to Serie A, on a season-long loan.

Everton, Brighton and Hull City new suitors

Eddy Kouadio has been a regular for Monza, playing 819 minutes in 10 matches, scoring a goal. His displays haven’t gone unnoticed, especially in the Premier League.

Earlier this week, Sport Witness covered a report from Italy explaining that Brentford and AFC Bournemouth are in the mix.

TuttoMercatoWeb, who covered this, have come up with a fresh update about three more English clubs’ interest. Brighton & Hove Albion, Hull City and ‘especially Everton’ are the defender’s new suitors.

Scouts from these English clubs are regularly in attendance to watch him live in action for Monza.

PL trio make contact

The Toffees, Brighton and Hull City have made enquiries about the young talent. However, the report doesn’t specify whether the Premier League trio contacted Fiorentina, his camp or both.

Monza have no intention of terminating his loan stay in January and intend to retain him until the end of the season. It may not matter if La Viola were to recall him in the next window.

Either way, Fiorentina would have a big decision to make about Eddy Kouadio’s future. For now, they seem to be in a dilemma on whether to include him in their first team plans or ‘sell him to the highest bidder’.

Kouadio was born in Italy to Ivorian parents, making him eligible to represent these two countries. Azzurri manager Roberto Mancini had him in the squad in the last international break but didn’t hand him his debut.

Transfermarkt value him at €6m, a €3.5m rise since joining Monza. This can rise further if he were to make his senior debut for Italy or Ivory Coast in November.
