Manchester United are in the mix to sign Eintracht Frankfurt’s Nathaniel Brown in the summer.
The left-back’s performances this season have caught the attention of Manchester United and a few other clubs.
Eintracht Frankfurt signed the 22-year-old from 1. FC Nürnberg in January 2024 and sent him back on loan until the end of the 2023/24 season.
Since returning to the Bundesliga side, he played 67 matches and even contributed six goals and 17 assists of which three goals and six assists are from this season.
This season, he has operated as a left-back, left wing-back and even as a winger on a few occasions. Therefore, the versatile player could contribute while attacking and defending. Sport Witness highlight some of his stats per game this season from the Bundesliga.

Manchester United in picture for Nathaniel Brown
Earlier in the season, Sport Witness covered claims from Germany of the Premier League side and Arsenal including Nathaniel Brown in their list. Last month, we relayed news of Manchester City and Liverpool joining the race.
This week’s edition of SportBild covers Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona interest in Brown.
The report focuses on Eintracht Frankfurt’s need to raise funds if there’s no European football next season. They are seventh in the table with 38 points, trailing sixth placed Bayer Leverkusen by seven points.
Without European football, the German club will have to raise ‘significantly more than the already required €30m transfer surplus.’
The only way to do that is by selling some of their players, and Brown and Nnamdi Collins are their biggest assets.
Eintracht Frankfurt invested €3m to sign Brown and this no longer impacts the balance sheet. Therefore, his sale can be ‘almost entirely booked as profit’ even though Nürnberg retain a 10% sell-on clause.
The Bundesliga side are now asking for at least €60m. Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona are his suitors, but it’s unclear whether any of them are willing to spend €60m.
Brown’s contract, value and agent info

In February 2025, the fullback signed a contract extension until 2030. This, coupled with Nathaniel Brown’s impressive performances have increased his value.
Transfermarkt valued him at €3m in December 2023 and €8m a year later. Last year, it increased from €15m [March] to €22m [June] to €30m [October] to €35m in December.
The latest figure is yet to be updated, but the consistent rise shows Brown’s trajectory is on an upward trend. Whether that’s enough for Manchester United to bet on him remains to be seen.
