Galatasaray have shown serious interest in Arsenal‘s Gabriel Martinelli to further strengthen Okan Buruk’s squad.
Galatasaray have the Arsenal player on their agenda as part of their efforts to improve their attack.
They have held talks with the Premier League winners over signing the 25-year-old and Ethan Nwaneri.
Last week, Sport Witness covered claims from Turkey that the Istanbul club tasked agent George Gardi to negotiate with Arsenal. He doesn’t represent the Brazil international and is acting as an intermediary on behalf of Galatasaray.
Details of offer for Arsenal man

Journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, who is reliable with the Turkish market, shares an update on Galatasaray’s attempt to sign Gabriel Martinelli.
He spoke to Kafa Sports’ YouTube channel to discuss the Süper Lig winners’ potential moves in this window and Haber Sarı Kırmızı have relayed his comments.
Galatasaray have made an offer for the South American and that convinced Mikel Arteta’s side.
“Last Friday, Galatasaray offered €50m for 80% of Martinelli’s transfer rights. Arsenal was receptive to the offer, but the player’s side is not yet convinced,” he said.
Two alternatives to Arsenal player
Gabriel Martinelli is in his final year of contract, with an option for another year. Last week, we relayed news from Brazil that the Emirates club are keen to offload him in this window.
The attacker’s refusal to join Galatasaray will force them to look at other options. Yağız Sabuncuoğlu reports AC Milan’s Rafael Leão and Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford are Galatasaray’s other options for the left wing.
On Leão, Sabuncuoğlu explained: “Regarding Leão, they’re gradually coming down to the level Galatasaray wants. Galatasaray’s latest offer was €40m. When I asked about this offer, the Galatasaray side said it was 35+5. When Milan lowered their price, Galatasaray also lowered their offer.”
Galatasaray approached the England international, and the journalist says “he isn’t keen on moving to Turkey.” Okan Buruk’s side will immediately launch an attempt if there’s a slight opening to sign Rashford.
