With Chelsea apparently still to take a decision on the future of Andrey Santos, some clubs are already getting interested in signing him on a potential loan.
That’s the case of Salernitana, as reports from the Italian media today claim the Serie A side made the midfielder their ‘main target’ this summer.
Outlet Salernitana News claims the club are looking to improve the squad, and will try to sign young players who struggle to have playing time at their clubs.
That could pretty much be situation of Santos, who’s having his pre-season with Chelsea and is still waiting on Mauricio Pochettino’s final decision when it comes to his future.
Salernitana News says the Brazilian is one of the targets, along with Juventus’ Fabio Miretti.
According to recent reports from Brazil, Pochettino would analyse Andrey Santos’ performances in the pre-season and then decide whether he’d use him in his first year at the club.
Chelsea signed the midfielder on a €15m deal from Vasco da Gama in January. It took a while for him to get a work permit, and even though he now has it, he’s still not sure whether he’ll be playing in London or elsewhere next season.
