It appears that Chelsea are taking concrete steps to get as much money as possible for Romelu Lukaku this summer.
That’s according to Sacha Tavolieri, who took to YouTube to bring the latest on the situation, as he explains the Blues are getting ready to bring in money from sales in order to make some purchases.
Chelsea are trying to get rid of the Belgian’s wages off their books, as well as get a transfer fee from a sale, which is why they are making these moves.
Tavolieri reveals that the Stamford Bridge side have contacted the Saudi FA directly in order to find a deal with a club for the striker.
Chelsea are said to be looking for €60m for their player, but know they might end up getting only €40m, which they would take, which falls in line with reports from Italy that €43m are needed to balance their books and not write the player off as a financial loss.
Tavolieri then adds that Lukaku has himself not made his mind up about his future, but what is clear, however, is that ‘there are discussions’ between Chelsea and Saudi Arabian FA to sell Lukaku this summer.
