Premier League side West Ham United are linked to two old targets from the very same Portuguese club on Wednesday.

Earlier today, we already covered a story from Record which said the Hammers are back chasing Yacine Brahimi, who’s running out of contract with Porto in the summer.

And it turns out that newspaper A Bola also brings a story saying the London side are back for Moussa Marega, who’s actually a little bit more complicated to sign.

With 20 goals and 11 assists this season, the striker is considered to be one of Porto’s biggest stars, and looks unlikely to leave for much less than his €40m release clause.

A Bola recalls that last summer, West Ham’s attempt to sign Marega was blocked by Porto and manager Sérgio Conceição.

The player wanted the Premier League move, and even tried to force a way out of the Dragons. But in the end, he ended up signing a contract extension which runs until 2021.

That’s why the outlet claims West Ham’s new push to get Marega doesn’t mean he’s leaving at the end of the season.

A Bola doesn’t bring details on how much West Ham would offer or how much Porto would demand this time. But since Marega continues to be one of the club’s most important attacking players, it’s really likely that they will point out to the release clause as a price tag.
