La Liga giants Real Madrid have reportedly joined the race for the Liverpool youngster Rafael Camacho.

It’s the Portuguese press who report it today, with newspaper Record not exactly happy to be the ones bringing the news.

With Sporting and Benfica being the first to be linked to the player, the outlet shows how complicated the race is getting for the Lisbon sides, since the interest from Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig had also already been reported.

But despite the headline, Record doesn’t bring many details about Real Madrid’s efforts to sign the 18-year-old for now, only saying they are ‘attacking’ Camacho.

Camacho’s contract with Liverpool expires in a year, and Record say the five-year offer he has from the Reds is pretty good, especially for the money.

But the player wants the guarantee that he’s being loaned out for at least one season, and that’s making things more complicated.

It’s said Benfica and Sporting still expect to meet the player’s representatives in Lisbon. A chat had already been scheduled, but has now been postponed for the next few weeks.
