On Friday, journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported Atalanta have joined Inter Milan in the chase for West Ham United’s Gianluca Scamacca.

He also stated the striker favours a move to the San Siro but would open the door to joining Atalanta if the Nerazzurri fail to agree a deal with the Hammers.

Sky Italia now state the Serie A duo have made ‘identical offers’ of €25m plus €5m bonuses to sign the West Ham player.

It’s claimed the bonuses proposed by Atalanta are easier to achieve. This has convinced West Ham to prioritise their offer over the one made by Inter.

In addition to this, Gasperini’s side have offered a five-year deal worth over €3m [likely net] per year to Scamacca. This is higher than what Inter would have proposed.

After taking a few hours to decide between Inter and Atalanta, the report states the 24-year-old has now ‘said yes’ to Gian Piero Gasperini’s side.

Sky further add Scamacca is scheduled to travel to Italy on Saturday to carry out medical tests with Atalanta.

This is backed up Gianluca Di Marzio, who says Atalanta’s offer was higher. Therefore, it was accepted by both the player and West Ham, who wanted to decided everything on Friday.
