Chelsea are probably the English club linked most with signing Brazilian players, and specifically players from the Brazilian league.

It’s been the same way for some years, as Chelsea have signed a growing list of Brazilians, and clearly keep an eye on talents from the country playing both domestically and around world football.

There’s usually a collection of Brazilians in the Chelsea squad, and out on loan as part of the club’s development plans, and that shows no signs of ending soon.

Mundo Deportivo say Chelsea are one of a number of clubs with ‘maximum interest’ in Gremio attacking midfielder Arthur. Barcelona are also linked, hence the interest for the Catalan newspaper, and it’s thought offers will arrive in Brazil soon.

Gremio are said to be expecting around €30m for the 21 year old, which could be on the optimistic side, but the fee wouldn’t scare Chelsea off if interest is as serious as described and Arthur is seen as a first team squad option.

Another Brazilian with a €30m price tag being edged the way of Chelsea this winter is Lucas Moura, and the links simply refuse to go away. With claims in Brazil this week that Willian fancies an exit if Antonio Conte sticks around, Lucas to Chelsea articles have risen in the French media.

It’s much likelier Chelsea would pay €30m for the PSG player than the Gremio youngster.
