Norwich City took Ralf Fährmann on loan from Schalke last summer and his decision to join the Premier League side has been nothing short of a disaster.

The goalkeeper has made one appearance each in the league, EFL Cup and FA Cup for the Canaries this season and a lack of opportunities with Daniel Farke’s side could see him cut short his loan deal at Carrow Road.

On March 4th, we carried a report from Aftenposten that the 31-year-old is expected to join SK Brann on a temporary deal, after he was spotted with his agent at the Norwegian club’s stadium.

The loan deal can go through because the transfer window in Norway is open until April 1st.

Hertha Berlin goalkeeper Rune Jarstein gave his verdict on Fährmann’s potential move to Brann.

“A very surprising move and a very big and good transfer for Brann. Fährmann is a legend in Schalke 04 and has a big name in German football,” Jarstein told VG in Norway.

“Fährmann is an overall good keeper who is very responsive, good one on one and good in the field.”

The Bundesliga goalkeeper also given his opinion on why he believes the German has decided to end his loan spell at Norwich.

“It may well be he thinks about playing time until the summer and a new run-up with Schalke or a new club. Maybe he also wants to experience something new, Norway is a wonderful country,” Jarstein stressed.
