Olympiacos goalkeeper Jose Sa looks to be a big doubt for his side’s Europa League game against Wolverhampton Wanderers next week.
The Portuguese goalkeeper, who was linked with a move to West Ham United during the January transfer window, was injured during Olympiacos’ league game against Panailotikos at the weekend and hasn’t recovered.
During the game Sa clashed nastily with a Panailotikos player and had 15 stitches to his head after the injury.
He wasn’t a part of the squad which faced PAOK in the Greek Cup yesterday, with French goalkeeper Bobby Allain taking his place.
Today Sdna report that the Greek club will begin intensive treatment with Sa, as they are looking to reduce a sever bruise on his right eye.
It’s reported the former Porto goalkeeper will do everything he can in order to be fit in time against Wolves next week.
Both Wolves and Olympiacos will go into the tie confident they can make the quarterfinals of the competition following the last round. Last week the Greek giants came from behind to eliminate Arsenal at the Emirates with a late goal.
Wolves had already put their tie with Espanyol to bed after they demolished35 the Spanish side at Molineux in the first leg.
