Charly Alcaraz’s agent is currently in Italy to likely talk with Juventus about the Southampton youngster and rescue his failing loan move.
That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport and Tutto Juve, who cover the agent’s little Italian adventure today.
Starting with Gazzetta, who say Alcaraz’s agent, Sebastien Lopez, recently travelled to Italy and it is likely that one of his commitments will be to meet with Juventus to discuss the midfielder.
He’s been on loan with the Italian giants since the summer, but it’s proven to be a bit of a difficult time for him, with him yet to make much of an impression, never mind a positive one.
That means Juventus are unlikely to take up their option to sign him permanently for €49.5m but they would be willing to ask for another loan from Southampton instead.
TuttoJuve back all of this up and say Lopez was at the Olimpico a few days ago to watch Juventus take on Lazio.
According to their information there has been no contact between him and Juventus as yet, but they are likely to happen at some point as the situation needs sorting.
They believe talks may not happen until the middle, even towards the end, of May but back up the idea that Juventus won’t be buying him permanently from Southampton and instead want another loan deal at best.
That’s bad news for Southampton, who clearly had hoped to make a massive, almost instant profit on Alcaraz but are instead facing the prospect of this loan deal away not really being worth anyone’s time or effort.
