Turkish newspaper Aksam claim Liverpool have made an offer made to sign Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida.

Earlier this week there were reports Liverpool had tabled a bid of €15m for the Croatia international, along with local rivals Everton.

The Croatian defender has impressed for his country during the World Cup and his partnership with Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren has helped Croatia reach the quarter finals of the competition.

Aksam say after Everton and Leicester City’s interest in Vida it’s now Liverpool who have set their sights on Vida. It’s claimed Jurgen Klopp has been impressed with Vida’s partnership with Lovren in Russia.

According to Aksam, Liverpool have tabled an offer of £13m, a similar figure reported a few days ago.

Despite Senol Gunes’ insistence on keeping Vida, Aksam claim the Besiktas board are looking to sell the player if the right offer comes in this summer.

Vida only signed for for the Turkish club in January on a free transfer.
