As German newspaper Bild report Achraf Hakimi is set to leave Real Madrid for a two year loan at Borussia Dortmund, that then brings up an inevitable question.

What’s happening with Madrid’s potential Alvaro Odriozola signing?

Well, it’s ‘imminent’ according to Mundo Deportivo. Real Sociedad and Real Madrid are ‘about to close’ an agreement for €30m plus a further €5m in bonuses.

The transfer will happen in the coming days, and the player has given his approval to the move. Only the ‘final details’ remain to be sorted out on the move, and it’s expected that can be done this week.

Talks haven’t been easy, explain Mundo Deportivo, with Madrid’s first offer said to have been not so much over €20m, which made Real Sociedad point to the player’s €40m release clause.

It would appear the clubs have met somewhere in the middle.

Whilst Mundo Deportivo is best known as a Catalan newspaper, they do cover the Basque clubs very well, and this story is on the front page of their Basque edition on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Marca also say the deal is close, but they believe it will be for the player’s €40m clause.
