French newspaper L’Equipe believe Ramy Bensebaini could soon be an Everton player.

Despite claims elsewhere that L’Equipe have reported it’s an agreed deal, that’s not what the French newspaper actually says, either online or in their hard copy newspaper.

Everton said to be ‘in very advanced negotiations’ to sign the Rennes player, and those talks have now been going on for ‘several days’.

A potential transfer fee of €15m is reported, but L’Equipe make it clear this is what has come from the English media, although they do add the transfer could be ‘very quickly concluded’.

Rennes are already looking towards a replacement for the player and have picked out Lyon’s Fernando Marcal. The L’Equipe online article says Rennes are ‘in the process’ of selling the player to Everton, but then goes on to explain the advanced talks.
