Cagliari defender Bartosz Salamon continues to be linked with a move to Leeds United in the Italian media, but they could face competition from Palermo.

In recent weeks Cagliari have been linked with Leeds United outcast Giuseppe Bellusci and Salamon could be used in a possible deal.

Corriere dello Sport have today reported Palermo want to sign a central defender in this window, and Salamon is a target according to the Italian newspaper. The club were relegated to Serie B last season, and need to rebuild their squad this summer.

Calcio Casteddu have again reported Cagliari want to sign Bellusci in this window, and Salamon could be key to a deal. It’s been claimed Leeds United could entertain signing the Poland international, with Bellusci going the other way, as stated last week.

It’s likely Bellusci will return to Italy this summer, following his loan spell with Empoli last season. The Leeds United player’s agent recently confirmed they are eyeing a move back to Serie A, but he also said the player is happy in England.

SPAL and Bologna have also been linked with 28-year-old Bellusci in recent weeks.
