Altay Bayındır has already said goodbye to Fenerbahçe fans on Thursday evening ahead of his impending move to Manchester United.

The Yellow Canaries manager İsmail Kartal has admitted the goalkeeper is set to leave the club. Earlier on Friday, Cumhuriyet reported his move to Manchester United should go through within 48 hours.

Journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, through Sports Digitale’s Twitter channel, has provided the latest update on this case.

He claims the 25-year-old ‘came to’ the Atatürk General Aviation Terminal on Friday morning to make a trip to England. The Turkey international will leave Istanbul ‘soon’, likely in the next few hours.

According to Sabuncuoğlu, the goalkeeper should carry out a medical test with the Red Devils today and then sign a contract with them. This is set to be his second examination after he underwent tests in Greece earlier this week.

André Onana, who arrived at Old Trafford from Inter Milan last month, is the new No.1 for Erik ten Hag. Bayındır is expected to be provide cover and competition for the former at Manchester United.
