As the João Gomes saga goes on, the player continues to insist on being sold to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

An update on this case is today featured by outlet O Globo, who claims that the midfielder is ‘stamping his feet’ in order to secure a move to the Molineux.

Even though Flamengo would like him to move to Lyon, who offered €1m more than Wolves, the player would like to keep his word with the Premier League side.

Gomes has reportedly shown he doesn’t want to have his dream blocked, as he would like to play in the ‘greatest league’ there is.

He has now left the issue for his agent to sort with club president Rodolfo Landim in order to try and ensure that his client’s desire ‘prevails’.

As Flamengo try to handle the problem, it’s now even said that the midfielder’s stay at the club is ‘not ruled out’, as he even returned to training, despite having his bags packed for the Wolves move.

The Molineux side offered €17m, and despite Lyon putting €18m on the table, the English side are said to be ‘sustaining’ their offer and won’t change it.

A final decision from Flamengo is expected to be taken this week.
