As you might have seen with various approaches made for the likes of Cédric Soares, Rick Karsdorp and others, Fulham are looking for a new right-back.

Marco Silva has yet to find the right man for the job in January, and thus the search continues, with the Netherlands now the prime hunting ground for the Craven Cottage side.

We’ve already covered a bit about their reported interest in Milan van Elwijk, but there’s also another defender who has caught their eye: Joshua Brenet.

He currently plays for FC Twente, and is ‘one of the options, for Fulham, according to Twente Insite, who cite their own information on the matter.

They have ‘received confirmation from a reliable source’ that the Premier League club’s interest in Brenet is ‘concrete’ and the defender is already ‘in talks with FC Twente about a possible dream transfer’ to England’s top-tier.

Right now, it’s not said whether the Eredvisie side ‘want to cooperate’, but considering their technical director has made it clear that the club wants to finish the season with their current squad and ‘no one will be allowed to leave’, we doubt they will bend the rules here.

Whether Fulham can convince them otherwise remains to be seen.
