With Everton now having sacked Frank Lampard, their transfer plans will be put on hold until someone else comes in to replace him, but West Ham United and Southampton will continue their merry way in January.

Nathan Jones appears to have been given some funds to try and reshape the St Mary’s squad, while David Moyes will be given time, likely due to what he has achieved at London Stadium since his appointment.

Either way, neither of these three clubs appear to stand a chance in signing Terem Moffi, as Foot Mercato in France make it clear he isn’t interested in a move to Everton, Southampton or West Ham at this moment in time.

That’s because he appears obsessed with the idea of going to the south of France with Nice, and ‘only wants to hear’ from them.

Right now, they are ‘his priority’ and he ‘doesn’t intend to change his mind for the moment’.

It’s also made very clear he ‘has refused approaches’ from West Ham, Everton and Southampton.

Considering those clubs are 16th, 19th and 20th in the Premier League respectively, we can see why that would be the case, as there is a real chance each and every one of them could end up in the Championship if they don’t turn things around.

There’s still time for that to change, with 18 games left to play, but if there’s another option for the Nigeria international, it might not be a risk worth taking at 23 years of age.
