Player hopes to complete transfer to Tottenham ‘in the next few hours’, wishes made clear

The Dutch press isn’t the only one reporting Davinson Sanchez’s desire to join Tottenham Hotspur. Colombian outlets are confirming it today as well.

This Monday, Deportes RCN claims to have a source close to the player who not only revealed the player’s desire, but also said the negotiations are going well.

The source is quoted as: “The talks are advanced and the negotiation is close. Davinson already told the Ajax directors he wants to play in England.”

The Colombian version of AS also brings a story with the same info, although they don’t make it clear if they’re just covering reports from somewhere else.

They say the player hopes the deal will be done ‘in the next few hours’, but despite the talks being said to be well advanced, there’s still a big gap between what Ajax are demanding and what Tottenham want to pay.

The Dutch side would be wanting €46m for the transfer, but Tottenham would be ready to spend only €35m.

Considering the player’s will to join Spurs, the transfer fee should be the only obstacle before the London side can complete the signing.
